Human Resources*
(Reports to the President and Office Manager)
Location: Minden, NV
Specific Responsibilities:
- Recruitment of new personnel (drafting and editing job descriptions & employment ads, reviewing and selection of ad placement with newpapers, online job-site and temp agencies).
- Interviewing prospective employees. Take notes and make recommendations for 2nd interview with President and/or Office Manager.
- New hires: paperwork, introductions and overseeing that the new hire's equipment as well as user name and passwords are in place, ready to use on start date.
- Send bi-weekly reminders of timesheets to all employees.
- Collect, manage and update spreadsheets of timecards (daily and bi-weekly) for each employee.
- Collect, manage and update spreadsheet of PTO, Vacation and Sick Time records for each employee.
- Call in payroll to outside company (using data collected).
- Distribute 90 day packets to new employees
- Enroll employees in IFC benefits programs (medical, dental, vision and AFLAC insurances)
- Update Employee Handbook as requested.
- Be sure Anthem & AFLAC charges are accurate on Bills & with PayChex
- Handle basic employee reviews and or disciplinary issues as requested
Position Requirements:
High school diploma and Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3 - 5 years of Human Resource and Personnel experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook is required.
